Rejection and a Keytar

So, the rejection postcard came in. Who doesn't want a sexy 35 year old tattoo artist to get a chance to win a million bucks?
On other fronts, I've decided I need a keyboard...a keytar was also suggested. I need to get into something. Creativity has always been such a large portion of my life, and I'm thinking I'll not waste my piano lessons. I've alway written...well, always being since 4th grade. I've always made strange, or hallmarky poems for my own damn good...now maybe I should make music with them...I always made music in High school, and did acty stuff...maybe music is my true calling...my family is all musicy...that's how my american mum met my Irish dad...ahhhh the power of music...

Millionaire maker

Well, Jack qualified for Millionaire, got an interview, and we may hear back within 3 weeks. His mom has qualified and interviewed a few times, and later got a rejection post card, so we will see.

His greatest passing question was a Sesame Street Question :)

On the Road Again...

Getting ready for a 950 mile road trip is always ..fun.
Actually, it used to be a ton harder, before we nixed the mass quantities of junk food. Now, My list goes something like,"Water, check, Iced Tea jug, check, cups, check, fruit, check, yummy lime tortilla chips, check." This is a road trip with a 9 year old boy involved, so the other list sounds more like,"DVD player, check, 20 movies, check, two books, check, art supplies, check, pillow, check" Still, few enough objects that they fit spectacularly into a Beezie Bag. I remember nothing being more uncomfortable on a road trip than not having any elbow room. My plan is to keep it down to as few bags as possible, keep the Feng Shui in the car flowing. (I'm sure such a thing exists as car feng shui, it sounds like something that would)

Ah, so I'm just about to put the suitcases in the car. I don't believe I've ever had a car mostly packed the afternoon before a trip....I really need a steady job ;)

So, off we go to NY to visit my wonderful in-law and Jack will be doing a guest spot Friday and Saturday at Winky Dink Ink, where his brother works. (Jack and his mother are also trying out for Who Wants to Be a Millionare on Wednesday :D) A busy busy week is ahead of us..

Appetizer

So, the future is looking pretty fun. I'm looking into getting my Irish citizenship. Jack is setting up appointments to get work by Mike Rubendal and Chris O'Donell. It's, of course, looking like it will be a year before a consult, and another year before the tattoo, but good things come to those that wait I think the timing will be great. One day, I think we will both try to get a tattoo from Uncle Allen. Personally I think him and Jack are long lost soul bothers.

Heading to NY Sunday, and stopping off at Cedar Point. I can't wait! It's been years since I've been on a roller coaster...and that's not right. We'll see if it lives up to the hype, and if it beats Six Flags.

I'll try to keep a good photo journal of the trip...aaahhh family vacations! :D
